Development Procedures

We treat every website we build as a completely new entity and therefore we create each website from scratch; we do not use templates.

In order to help ensure total compatibility with all of the major browsers, we create only raw code rather than use any web development tools.

From the agreed design, we will commence development by first creating a Custom Style Sheet (CSS). This gives the website an overall look and feel and is applied to each webpage we create for your site. It provides consistency throughout your site and whilst decreasing development time it actually increases the speed at which your site will load in a browser. It also makes maintenance and support quicker and easier.

We then create your first webpage, probably the Home page and create any features which are consistent throughout your site; maybe the header, footer and menu. Although these will appear in your site many times, they are only created once. This, again, helps provide consistency, decrease development time, increase the speed at which your site loads and it too makes maintenance and support quicker and easier.

We then start to concentrate on your other web pages and also on the database (where required).

By this stage, we will have a working build of your website which you can view to ensure that you are happy with the progress so far. These reviews help reduce surprises and help ensure that you are happy with your site and that we are on the right track.

Once development is complete, we move on to the testing of your website.
